Step1:
Create a new image click File>New or (Ctrl+N). Set the width to 800 , Height to 600 and background to black(#FFFFFF). Press ALT+CTRL+0 to view your work space actual size. Press SHIFT+CTRL+N or click Layer >New >Layer to create a new layer.
Step2:
On the new layer and change the foreground color to White (#000000). Change to the Line tool (U) , its usually hiding behind the rectangle tool and enter the setting below.

Now with the line tool selected click, hold SHIFT and draw a line from the lower left hand cornet to the middle of the page. Click here to see my example. On the same layer click and draw a line from the end of your first line going up while holding the SHIFT key. Here is an example. Still on the same layer with the line tool selected draw another line from where the two previous line connected going to the right. Click here to see an example.
Step3:
On the same layer click on the Paint Bucket Tool (G) , and change the colors of the walls.
Floor = #b9b9b9
Left Wall = #eeeeee
Background Wall = e1e1e1
