Learn how to create the flash text effect.

  Part1: Setting up the workspace.
Ok, let us get started. Create a new Flash Document, Click Modify Document, here is where you can change the background color, and the dimensions of your movie. Since I am creating this for explanation I sat the size to 450x 400 to fit into my page. However, you can create any dimension you need.

Part2: Creating the effect.
Using the Text Tool type some thing in the middle of your work area as shown below.

Right click on the text and Break it apart once.

By doing that you will have the effect below.

Right click on the text again and select Distribute to Layers

You can now delete the original layer, depending on the amount of letters in your text. You should see that number of layers. Right Click on the last letter

and convert it into a Movie Clip.

Right Click on the text and select edit in place. Click on Frame 25, and 55, press F6 to insert a key frame as shown below.

Click on Frame 55, Using the Free transform Tool rotate the letter about 180 degrees and move it down a little as shown below in the video.

Right click on Frame 25 and create a Motion Tween repeat this for frame 55. Still on frame 55, click on the letter and in the properties window change the Alpha setting to 0%. With that you should have the effect below.

Go back to the main scene.

Part3: Editing the second Letter.
Editing the second letter is similar to what I did for the previous letter. The only difference is to get the effect of one letter falling after another, you have to increase the Frame number for the letters. Lets say in my example, the Letter L was set at frame 25  to 55. Then E would be set at frame 30 to 55, just keep going up by five.
