Stitched Effect - Learn how to give your images the effect of it being stitched.
Introduction: In this tutorial I will teach you how to create an engraved leather effect. If you are having trouble with this tutorial feel free to e-mail me and I will do my best to answer your questions.
 

Learn how to create am leather engraved look.

 

Part1: Setting up the workspace.
Ok, let us get started. Create a new image using the dimension  800 x 600. Set the background color to white. You can change the background depending on you web site color. Create a new layer, Layerarrow Newarrow Layer... (Shift+Ctrl+N). Name the layer "Leather". Copy and paste your texture into adobe Photoshop.  

With that, you should have the effect below.

 

Step3: Adding Text, and blending options.
Click on the Type Tool and write something in your work area. I typed "pixel digest" using the SF Atarian Syste font, you can use what ever font your like. Right click on the Text layer and click Blending Options and add the settings below.

 

Bevel and Emboss 

 

Pattern Overlay (Download Pattern)

 

Stroke 

With that you should have the effect below.

Updated the Forum, Unfortunately i could not use the same link as the old forum for the update. For the new link click Here. All the post and user name are still usable. News Update [10/16/07]
Yesterday on the 15th of October my gallery went down for some unknown reason. I was able to get the backup of the images, i just lost all the users. The gallery was not that active but i am sill pissed about what happened. I am in the process of reloading the gallery.
