Paper Tutorial - This tutorial Shows you how to create text book paper using photoshop.
Introduction: In this tutorial I will explain how to recreate the navigation menu . I created this effect using the pen tool and the rounded rectangle tool. Its a simple effect that look professional.

(1) Create a New Image 800 x 600 pixels

(2) Click View > Actual Pixels (ALT+CTRL+0) this will allow you to see your work space

(3) Change the Background Color to #b1b4af

(4) Create a new layer (Layer>New>layer) or SHIFT+CTRL+N

(5) Click on and set the dimension to what I have below. With the Style fixed it will make setting the exact dimension easy. Make sure you center the Rectangle in the middle of your work space.

Width: 15.2cm Height: 19.2cm

(6) Click on and Fill your newly created rectangle with # FFFFFF. When your finish press CTRL+D to deselect the rectangle.

(7) Click and hold your mouse over the rectangular marquee tool.

Some new tools will come up click on Single Row Marquee Tool. This will add the paper lines.

(8) Now with your Single Row Marquee Tool selected click on your selection tab and click add to selection.

(9) Now to add the lines to your paper. I added the lines one at a time and spaced it about half an inch apart click here to see my example. You will need to get rid of the line that’s off the paper. Click the Rectangular Marquee Tool and click subtract from selection .  Your paper should look something like this Preview.

(10) Make sure your still on the new layer; zoom into the paper about 500%. Click on set the color to #627d91. Use the Paint Bucket Tool and bump the color onto the lines. Now you should have something like this. Preview.

(11)  Create New Layer SHIFT+CTRL+N. Click and hold your mouse over until the new selection appears. Click on Single Column Marquee Tool. Use this tool to draw two vertical lines one on the right and left side. Repeat steps (9 and 10) using this color #b75454. You should now have something like this Preview.

(12) Create New Layer SHIFT+CTRL+N. Click and hold your mouse over the rectangular Marquee Tool until you see the new selection. Click on the Elliptical marquee Tool and add the setting below. This will give you the setting for the paper holes.

(13) Change back the layer with the main paper. Use the Elliptical Marquee Tool and create three holes. You can do that part by just looking at it, space the holes evenly when you are satisfied press your delete key.  You should get something like this Preview.

Yesterday on the 15th of October my gallery went down for some unknown reason. I was able to get the backup of the images, i just lost all the users. The gallery was not that active but i am sill pissed about what happened. I am in the process of reloading the gallery. Just give me some time and it should be up and running.Yesterday on the 15th of October my gallery went down for some unknown reason.
