Rusty Text - In this Tutorial, I will teach you how to create rusty text.
Introduction: In this tutorial I will explain how to create a simple rusty text effect using textures and blending options. I used the blending options to give it the effect of the text rotting away. If you need any help with this tutorial feel free to post a message on the form or email us.

 Rusty Text

In this tutorial, I will teach you how to create the rusty text above.

Step1: Setting up workspace.
Create a new image using the dimension  800 x 600. Set the background color to white, or whatever background you are planning to put the image on.

Step2: Finding the texture and adding it to Photoshop.
Go to google and search for "Rusty Texture" when you find something you like copy it. (Right click on the image and click copy) I used an image from pixelperfectdigital.com, which can be found by clicking Here. Paste you image into Photoshop. After pasting the image into about, hold Ctrl and click on the image layer to select it. With the layer selected click Edit Define Patter click Here to see a video example.

You can delete the layer with the texture.

Step3: Adding Text.
Click on the Type Tool and write something in your work area. I typed "pixel" using the Impact font. Right click on the Text layer and click Blending Options and add the settings below.

Yesterday on the 15th of October my gallery went down for some unknown reason. I was able to get the backup of the images, i just lost all the users. The gallery was not that active but i am sill pissed about what happened. I am in the process of reloading the gallery. Just give me some time and it should be up and running.Yesterday on the 15th of October my gallery went down for some unknown reason.
