Zooming Text - Learn how to create this zooming text effect using Flash 8.
Introduction: In this tutorial I will teach you how to create a Zooming text effect using flash 8. It is a very simple effect no action scripts, all I used it one layer will different frames. Controlling the text speed with the amount of frames. Its a nice effect you can add to an into to your flash projects.

Learn how to create the flash text effect above

Part1: Setting up the workspace.
Ok, let us get started. Create a new Flash Document, Click Modifyarrow Document, here is where you can change the background color, and the dimensions of your movie. Since I am creating this for explanation I sat the size to 477 x 200 to fit into my page. But you can create any dimension you need.

This is the settings I used, as shown below

Part2: Adding the text Effect, and frames.
Click ok, when you are satisfied and lets get started. Rename the layer, to "Text Layer" as shown below, click on frame 28 and press F6 to insert a keyframe.

Click on  Frame 1, and type your text off the blue screen to the right as shown below.

Click on frame 5, and press F6 to insert a keyframe.

Using your keyboard left arrow, move the text to the middle of your work area.

Right click on Frame1, and select Create Motion Tween

Now click on frame 9 and frame 25, and press F6 to insert a keyframe bon both. At this point your Layer should look like the image below.

Still on Frame 25, Click on your text once and using the left keyboard arrow move the text left the screen or blue work area to the position shown below.

Right click on Frame10, and select Create Motion Tween

Do the same for frame 25 and 28. Make sure you are on frame 28, click on the text and move it off the screen.

Part3: Creating the fading effect.
To create the fade in and out effect, click on frame 1 and select the text using the selection tool. After selecting it, the prosperities option shown below will come up.

Change the Color to Alpha and the percent(%) to 0. Repeat this for frame 28 also. You are finished.

Finished:
Well that is it. Hope it is what you expected. If you have, any questions or comments feel free to e-mail me or leave a message on the forum. If you are having a hard time with the tutorial email me and I will try to help.
