In this Tutorial, I will teach you how to create rusty text.
Step 1: Setting up work space.
Create a new image using the dimension 800 x 600. Set the background color to white, or whatever background you are planning to put the image on.
Step 2: Finding the texture and adding it to Photoshop.
Go to google and search for “Rusty Texture” when you find something you like copy it. (Right click on the image and click copy) I used an image from pixelperfectdigital.com, which can be found by clicking and saving the image below.
Paste you image into Photoshop. After pasting the image into about, hold Ctrl and click on the image layer to select it. With the layer selected click Edit>Define Patter.
You can delete the layer with the texture.
Step 3: Adding Text.
Click on the Type Tool and write something in your work area. I typed “pixel” using the Impact font. Right click on the Text layer and click Blending Options and add the settings below.
Click okay to add the settings.
